Ceramic flask designed in the form of a book. Detailed tin-glazed painting in several bright colors.

Biscuit tin made of tinplate, off set litho printed, made to simulate eight books with simulated tooled leather bindings and marbled end papers, bound by an imitation leather strap.

Wood chessboard veneered with ivory, engraved and highlighted with lac and partly veneereed with tortoiseshell. The edges of the hinged lid and box are faced with buffalo horn and a silvered brass lock and the interior lined with sandalwood.

Design: card printed on one side in black to show a large letter of the alphabet in the centre, repeated in opposite corners, and with a score number in red in each corner; reverse sides are printed with a geometric pattern in red and white
