Ceramic flask designed in the form of a book. Detailed tin-glazed painting in several bright colors.

Wood chessboard veneered with ivory, engraved and highlighted with lac and partly veneereed with tortoiseshell. The edges of the hinged lid and box are faced with buffalo horn and a silvered brass lock and the interior lined with sandalwood.

A website dedicated to the collection of cigar boxes at the National Cigar Museum. This is a particular exhibition of book shaped cigar boxes ranging in date from the 1870's through to modern times.

Design: card printed on one side in black to show a large letter of the alphabet in the centre, repeated in opposite corners, and with a score number in red in each corner; reverse sides are printed with a geometric pattern in red and white
