Description
A unique jewel box in the shape of a book. It's beautifully gilded gesso decoration is applied to a wooden book form box. This technique is reminiscent of gilded portrait frames of the 19th century. Both the top and the bottom of the box are identical except for the addition of 4 little ball feet on the bottom that have served to keep the detail from wear. The drawer is lined with deep red velvet.
